Throughout my trip to Tibet, we saw many faces and encountered many different people. My step-mother caught this one. This beautiful Tibetan girl, who was being carried by her father, caught the eye of Adina while walking up the steps of the Potala Palace. Adina quickly asked our guide (Tensing is what we called him, we later found out his name was spelt much differently) if we could take a picture of this little girl. Tensing asked the father and he agreed to show off his baby girl. I only took three pictures of her and this one was my favourite. I tried not to freak too many people out by my fast shutter speed, so I take it easy on the quantity of pictures.
The original picture had a lot of noise in the background, so I just photoshopped that out and tried to make the little girl the main focus in the picture. There were other pictures with her father facing the camera, but I felt she became a background figure and didn’t stand out too much. I wanted the picture to be about her, since I didn’t have many photos of Tibetan babies. Hope you enjoy this week!

Nice shot, Honey. She looks pretty spooked. Her mouth looks happy but her eyes look like she’s seeing an alien or something.
